«Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.» (Matthew 5:17-18)

«All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.» (2 Timothy 3:16)

As the verses before say, the Word of God was inspired by God to teach us what is true and help us identify what is wrong in our lives. God uses it to prepare and enable us in order to help us live the way He expects.

«Truly I tell you,” he continued, “no prophet is accepted in his hometown.» (Luke 4:24)
