A very warm welcome to my channel ‘SettleCarlisle68', going forwards, my future videos will focus on my new project build, a 00 gauge layout, named 'Ravenstonedale'.
After the dismantling of my N gauge layout 'Hellifield' back in mid-2024, I have finally made a start on my new layout design for my 00 layout. The layout and the locomotives and rolling stock will be based around the early BR steam era of the 1950's. The provisional track plan comprises of a double track loop with a station, goods shed and a coal depot, taking inspiration for the design from the 'Ravenstonedale' station' on the 'Stainmore' railway. The station part of the layout will be modelled on fixed 2.6 metre x 0.6 metre baseboard. There will be a further two additional, stow away baseboards. One will be a 6 lane storage yard with the other being a viaduct scenic board!
My intention is to publish videos of the layout that covers the design stage, base board construction, track laying and then the scenery etc..
