About Joy Mae

My name is Joy and I moved to New York City in 2019. It has been my dream to move to New York City since I was in high school & I somehow manifested moving to New York City after years of being turned down the opportunity because of work and where my life was at the moment.

I moved to New York City as a late-twenty something and I believe you can still move to New York City at ANY age. What I love most about New York City is the energy from the people who live in the City. I have met the coolest people who are so driven and ambitious. Everyone here has a dream and purpose and it's contagious.

Growing up I always felt misunderstood or a misfit in life. I also knew I had bigger dreams and was meant for more than the cookie-cutter life I would settle from if I stayed in my hometown of Southern California (San Diego). I moved to New York City without knowing really anybody, lost my job, and started this Youtube Channel. I hope my experiences can help you follow your dreams.
