Social Services Employees Receive Lifesaver Award

Congratulations to Social Services employees Trienechia Ivey, Jessica Gordon, Devonyia Mobley, and Karen Tucker on receiving Union County's Lifesaver Award for coming to the aid of a colleague in a medical emergency.

In June 2023, Karen Tucker noticed one of her colleagues did not look well and instinctively sought help. Tucker and another colleague, Devonyia Mobley, entered the employee's office to check on her. Realizing it was a medical emergency, two other colleagues, Trienechia Ivey and Jessica Gordon, rushed in to help stabilize the employee's head, as Mobley got the attention of a deputy to assist until paramedics arrived.

Thanks to their swift response and coordinated efforts, the employee in distress received necessary medical attention and was taken to the hospital. Tucker stayed with her colleague until her family arrived. Read more at unioncountync.gov/news
