Current Star Wars is basically written by Starbucks meetups that Kathleen Kennedy met randomly. There's no lore knowledge (the less pre-knowledge the better!), no plot continuity, no deeper meaning, and a clear disdain and hatred for the people who came before and enjoyed the good projects and established lore.
