It is beyond me how NVIDIA doesnt get a class action lawsuit to their ass. This is simply ridiculous.
  • People should start suing these companies for not honoring warranties, warranty is like a contract and any breach of contract should face legal consequences

The more you buy, the more you save

4090 pulls like 350 to 400 watts with a small and weak connector, this is a design flaw
  • @NOXFPV
    20 cards a week is crazy.😢

I'm curious if out of all the 4090s you have repaired, have you ever had to repair the same board twice?
  • @mornax
You're in a class of your own. I don't know how you manage to stay above water with the work, still doing all the repairs yourself after all these years.

4090s will have that new house paid for in no time! 50xx will take care of college tuition.

I've loved Nvidia for the last 15 years, but I am so glad I picked up a 7900XTX this generation. Not quite on par with a 4090, but absolutely zero regrets!
  • @HDRGuy
I will never overclock my TUF 4090. 400+ watts over that tiny connector is asking for trouble. I've got mine undervolted, it rarely pulls over 250watts. I think its kept me safe so far.

If they admit then they will have to repair or replace... This is what happens when you have a monopoly

Kingpin put two 12 vhpr receptacles on the RTX 3090 ti cards that EVGA produced. It seems that would be a low-cost solution to this problem. But then, it may cost an extra 8 bucks in manufacturing. I am done upgrading my system. I will only replace broken parts. The hardware vendors, esp. Nvidea, have taken all of the fun out of the hobby of building exciting new computers.

You should publish a list of cards which you have never seen in your shop, so the rest of us can use it as a buyer's guide!
  • I want Steve to adress this again, because once again, the proof is right here, yet no one else is willing to have the conversation, except these fine fellows. Even worse, some big tech tubers, have the nerve to say, the problem has been solved lol. Nvidia got y’all shook, and lying to your audience. Keep up the good work!

Too much current through a single connector, it's obvious...
