Spending the Day in My Mom's Garden! Vego Solar Lights, Hornworms & Happy Plants!

The horned worm turns in to the beautiful pollinator Sphinx moth. Many gardeners plant a tomato plant as a sacrifice plant away from their bed and relocate the worms since they don’t move far to allow them to get to their moth stage. A local gardener just posted pics of a Rosy Maple Moth in the garden and it was the most beautiful thing, and it’s caterpillar stage is a little green caterpillar that looks like something that would eat your garden, so it reminded me to think and investigate options before killing which I used to do, because it may be something beneficial and gorgeous someday.

Please get a black light flashlight for your mom, hornworms glow at night when you shine a blacklight on them (even the tiny ones), making them easy to pick off after dark.

Your Mom is a sweetheart! Her garden is so beautiful, especially since she has been traveling for 3 months! I can't imagine how difficult it is to garden on the "mountain." I've been working on journaling all of my plants in each garden bed. I wish I had done that sooner, but no time like the present!
