I Had Too Much To Dream Last Night!!!!!! The Electric Prunes!!!!!!! No joke! I have the single (and the LP too, I think). Yes, I'm old.

My brother in law, Michael Weakley, was the drummer for the Electric Prunes. He passed away on December 11. Nice job covering their song.

Outstanding rendition of this 60's psychedelic classic. The Surfrajettes have such a wonderful refreshing retro sound and they keep getting better and better.

The Electric Prunes were from my neighborhood, Santa Clara, CA. It’s was known as the “Prune Capitol of the World. By the time I arrived in 1963 the orchards were were going down like dominoes under the spreading carpet of pastel stucco and cedar shake roofs. The 4-BR we bought unfinished two blocks from Emil R. Buchser High School (It will NEVER be Santa Clara High!) in 1963 for $24,500 was priced at $1.4 Million last time I checked. California went from being the place to go, to the place people can’t get out of fast enough.
  • There is so much to like about this cover of a truly classic retro track. Well done to these amazing Canadian musicians ... So Easy on the Eye as well!!

The first Suffragettes video I ever saw and still easily the best. The rest of the band beautifully complements Nicole's fluid, light touch. Thank you Youtube Algorithm

I was 12 years old in 1967.......I love this music to this day....Quite possibly best song of 1960s....

That pipeline sound! So reminds me of jammin' years ago in garages, basements, and local dances, and Silvertone Twin-12 amps. 🎸

Fantastic, I love this instrumental. You girls are fabulous, me and my band have been doing this song since it was first released in the 60's and I have never heard a better instrumental version of it than this one. FANTASTIC job on it .I have both the 45 and the album, the originals of and you couldn't have played it any better than The Electric Prunes.
  • Never heard this classic in instrumental form. The Prunes would be proud of their grandaughters!!

I really love that sound for this song. The depth fits it well.

This was my favorite song when it first came out in the 60s. It has lyrics but I'm impressed that it was even remembered and played so well.

"No... then came the dawn!" this is so cool to hear such a wonderful cover of this song - Classic!
  • That lead guitar sound is amazing! Love the reverb and the tremolo on the chords.
