  • “If you have a different style than me, that’s fine, not everyone’s perfect.” 😂 stuff like this is why I love you.
  • Nick, would LOVE a video on lamps exclusively. Refresher courses and updates are always appreciated for the home basics. This Ikea video was great! Cheers!

As a dane I really love some of the names for these things HALVTOM = half empty GLADELIG = happily BRUNBÄR = brown berries BEKVÄM = comfortable/handy TESAMMANS = together RÖRT = stirred/moved/touched FYRTIOFYRA = 44

“I just say a lot of things and put them out on the internet - I can’t remember what I say in half these videos” Pure gold 😂
  • @luvurab
As a health and wellness coach I notice how very little marketing on any product mentions much, if anything on health. Well, here is one for IKEA. I did a lot of research on the lead content in various dinner and glassware brands. IKEA came out on top, along with Corning ware, for having the lowest amount of lead. Needless to say I ended up buying my dinnerware from IKEA.

I am here for the TOM FORD coffee table book shade. My wife and I play "Where's Waldo" with that book watching home interior videos.

Like you, Nick, I do not like plastic pots. However, as a gardener for 50 years, and a Master Gardener to boot, I've had to make accommodations. I've designed my 1.5 acres, changed it with time and it's quite lovely. My dilemma (I'm nearly 80) is that, in spite of sometimes helpers. I've needed to change my list of must haves to what can work. Hence, plastic pots outdoors. Do I love them? No. It's my make-do to the current situation of my life. Enjoy your show and you greatly. Patricia P.S. No doilies or fake flowers in my life so far.

IKEA should have your videos playing in their stores. The careless mispronunciation is to die for. Thanks for the good times and the tips, Nick.
  • @shiplesp
Nick, you know this one, but it deserves to be repeated. William Morris - "Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful."
  • @Spiffelight
My god that Tjillevips attempt was 100% well done.
  • @willsx2
I generally skip videos where the Creator is listing finds or favorites from stores but I will always tune in to Nick talking about Ikea just for the pronunciation of the products
  • @PaxPirate
Hack from a Dane here: if you like the pine wood items, but you don't like how yellow it becomes over time it is really easy to stain or white wash with a soap with a bit of stain in it. So many people here in Copenhagen use IKEA a lot, but it never looks the same because it's always a convo of "oooh I love what you did with that, how did you get that shade?" Etc. And there's something satisfying about seeing the colors age and change, at least in my opinion.
  • @lenabbixby7409
I think you have a very good view on Ikea and their products. And how you say the names of different items, no problem ! We in Sweden cant say them right ! Great video ! Lena, on the westcoast of Sweden
  • One of my favorite wooden spoons is one of those pointy ones with a hole in the middle. It's probably 50+ years old. That thing has been all over the world. It was my mom's and she gave it to me in the early 80s when I started backpacking. It has been to Italy, Greece, Turkey and then on countless camping trips all over the US. I just love that thing. And, yes, it's clean. Wipe with a little Mineral oil every now and then and you are good to go.
  • @angela86753
Good thing I was having a cocktail while watching. Jute, jute, jute 🧡🌿
  • @gailremp8389
I actually enjoy watching you struggle through the names almost more than the actual video. You’re like I am. WTF just give it a shot.
  • @casualcascade
Btw if you keep your wooden utensils oiled properly like you would a wooden cutting board with a food safe mineral oil or whatever, you can keep them basically forever even the cheap ikea ones <3
