It peaked at #1 {for 12 weeks} on Feb. 4th, 1950 on Billboard's Country chart and become the first million selling country song... Four years later on Nov. 7th, 1953 his daughter, Shirley, married singer Pat Boone... And on this day in 1977 his granddaughter, Debby, was at #1 with "You Light Up My Life", it spent a total of 10 weeks at #1.. May Mr. Foley R.I.P. {1910 - 1968}
