RWBY AMV - Save Me

Ironwood's fall was one of my favorite tragic things to watch in RWBY. I can't wait til volume 8 when we see what becomes of the man.

Ironwood is like White Knight of Generator Rex: paranoid and willing to do anything for the ‘greater good’, no matter the cost. Only difference is that Ironwood has more psychological scars and didn’t have too many people in his organization to question him. White is always being questioned about his methods, even by his own right hand, though he doesn’t punish them, or at least not severely. Doesn’t mean he didn’t come to blows with them. Ask Rex, who even had to fight a mech piloted by White that was created to kill him in case the EVO teen went maverick or insane just because they disagreed on what was the best answer against an apocalyptic level sleep plague. Also helps that his substitute was worse than him. But at least, he will hear you out. Sometimes. Search for Generator Rex and you’ll see.

Ironwood's tragedy is contained in his song. He is willing to fight to the bitter end, give his life for his people. But right at the end he loses his hope that he can save everyone. He chooses to be a general over a hero. And right as he finally wins RWBYs complete trust is when they finally lose his thanks to Blake and Yang's actions.

Man the opening for this video is just perfect. I hate how everybody just gave up on poor ironwood, like come on guys the dude is trying, don't just give up on him and say he is a monster when he is doing everything he possible can to save the city but everybody treats him like garbage so he doubles down on his decision instead perhaps agreeing with RWBY. This is a great video as well!

Ironwood has easily become my favorite character. I just pray that he doesn't die in volume 8 cause god knows I can't handle the death of another favorite character tbh.
