Taika's best acting is in Our Flag Means Death! We all know he's a hilarious comedic actor, but how he handles the drama and romance in the show is compelling and heartfelt. What that man does with his eyes...SHEEESH

“You wear fine things well” will send me into uncontrollable sobs for the rest of my life.
  • wish he'd talked more about Hunt for the Wilderpeople - such an underrated film but absolute gold

"I didn't care enough about his life to research him" is such perfect energy

Taika Waititi, king of not researching his characters but giving us the best interpretation anyway!

What we do in the shadows is comedy gold. It reminds me of the comedy genius of Mel Brooks, the dialogue, the timing, the expressions, every detail just adds to the joke. The future of comedy is in good hands with Waititi.

I'd loved to see him talk about his character in Boy, Alamein, I think he's such an interesting character that's very complicated and probably had a lot of input from Taika's personal life and experiences, would love to see him again talking about more characters

If you liked Jojo Rabbit i seriously think you should consider watching his film Hunt For the Wilderpeople. It's truly one of his best films imo with the right amount of taika waititi campy humor along with the endearing troubles of growing up an unwanted child trying to hold on to the glimpses of happiness one experiences

This man is the opposite of a method actor, he just plays himself in every role. I love it, he's a genius
  • Our flag means death is so good because the cast meshes brilliantly together. The chemistry between all of them works in the show’s favour.

If you haven't seen our flag means death, do what you can to watch it! Funny, heartfelt, great character study on what in means to be fighting against any societal norms. Just got picked up for season 2! Also Jo Jo Rabbit is a must, don't go in with any preconceived ideas. It's an incredible story too!
  • He's a wonderful actor on top of everything else he does. I really loved him as BlackBeard. It would have been great to hear him talk about his role in Boy.

1:57 KORG reminded me of a Polynesian bouncer before Taika said it. How many times in the early 2000's some man-mountain kicked my half-conscious foot sitting in a bean-bag at a rave and said "Ey bru! You don't have to leave, but you can't sleep here!" while handing me mashed self an unopened bottle of water for free. Salt of the earth, those guys.

I swear, everything this man touches is brilliant to me. I didn't think I could love anything more than WWDITS until Our Flag Means Death came out. I have thought about that show every day for the last three months.
  • “Why clean on a Monday, when you could clean on a Tuesday, 10 years later” lmao

What We Do In The Shadows is def one of the most underrated and underviewed comedies. it's a definite must watch for any comedy fans

I could listen to this guy all day long. What a brilliant, talented, lovely bloke!
  • Honestly, not doing research on gaming before plaing a gaming company CEO was fairly accurate of him
  • @saxamachick
I genuinely love Taika Waititi as an actor, a writer, and a director. He has such talent for telling a good stoy while making it fun and funny. Can't wait to see Love and Thunder!
  • Taika is “a special little, sweet little, thing that you find in the forest” 😂
