PCGS Unboxing #10 Economy Crossover

Published 2024-06-20
In this episode, I go over my recent Economy crossover order with PCGS. I sent in Morgan silver dollars, a Walking Liberty half dollar, and several Washington quarters. So how did we do?

    Both toners were stunning

All in all good results! Surprised they didn't cross at least one of the Wisconsins just so they could get the full fees on all three, haha. That reverse mounted mystery is just head scratching. Even with a little wheel mark, that toner is gorgeous. Can't wait for the next one!

Some of my favorite coin designs is the US Buffalo Nickels. I was hoping for the Buffalo to have crossed to a higher grade or at least received a star. Love the 3-coins holder especially, them being some highly sought after error coins. Beautiful toners. Thanks for sharing the results.

I don't try to grade Buffalos and Franklins, they all look the same to me! Oh, and a wheel marked coin that straight graded in a NGC slab is a win... too bad PCGS found it! I think it was worth it... and grading quarters at times seems mysterious... the difference between a 65 and a 66 can drive one mad, lol! If I'm getting a quarter graded... my opinion is, pick quarters that should be 66s and you don't mind being in a 65 slab!
  • PCGS has issues with toned coins. Those were nice coins! It stinks that there is wheel marks on that quarter!

Great video. I can't comment whether or not I think it was worth it. I literally have zero clue. 🤣😂

Too bad about the high leaf & low leaf.

Not sure why your even trying to cross the NGC coins anyway of your that in love with PCGS then buy PCGS coins not NGC coins I love the NGC holder but that’s just me I think it’s the best looking holder out there aesthetically to me that’s why I only buy ngc coins unless I can get the pcgs coin cheap enough to cross and still be in line price wise but the buffalo nickel I think was a 38 D and they come nice like real nice most are ms66 so I think it looks 65 from on line I don’t know about in hand and always remember on Washington quarters to bump it one grade lower then you think it is just how they go the high grade Washington quarters are breathtaking and you will know it when you see it same with ms68 Lincoln cents you will know it when you see it trust me
