Mountain meets Mothers Of Invention picking up Three Dog Night, thumbing for a ride on the side of the road, on the way. Well, that was my first impression after hearing the first two tracks. After listening to the entire album, I must correct myself and state that it sounds like Three Dog Night was driving and kicked Mountain out after they fired up a joint. I hope this gets remixed digitally with drums brighter and a little higher in the mix. Talented musicians doing music that was evocative of this era. The lyrics are a lot of naive optimism. I’m glad I gave it a listen, driving through Wyoming on a Sunday morning. I often see albums like these in thrift stores and flea markets, wondering what they sound like.
