I really love how Rebecca and Keeley's friendship is depicted as genuine, and not toxic or passive aggressive. You can tell that they genuinely like and feel comfortable with each other.

"I learned to love my dad for who he was and forgive him for who he wasn't" has stayed in my heart ever since that episode Higgins said it.

Also! I cannot believe you didn't talk about Jamie's incredible arc and how well-written and acted Jamie is. Season One Jamie is completely different from Season Three Jamie

The scene where Roy finally hugs Jamie after punching his dad, @12:30, is one of the best scenes ever. Just an amazingly written and performed episode, and the silence and acting says it all.

Anybody saying this show is too feel good has never experienced a panic attack. That scene broke me. Such a realistic portrayal. No trigger, it just happened to him. I’ve never felt so seen by a show. And it hurt like hell.
  • @VodkaHellstorm
Roy sings along to the words of EVERY song played diagetically in a scene he's in, not just Let It Go. It's a great little easter-egg that shows us so much of his character.

Although everyone speaks about Roy and Jamies arc, seeing Jamie stand up to his dad out of aggression and instantly reverting back to shock and the fear he felt as a child and Roys recognition of the role he plays in Jamie’s life and knowing exactly what to do to comfort him in the moment while the rest of the team stands frozen is amazing writing and acting

I used the “ being alone and being sad” line during my speech at my dad’s funeral. It’s so powerful and means the most to me
  • @trinaq
One aspect I really adore about this series is the message that people will remember you for your kindness, empathy and compassion, no matter how small or inconsequential it may appear. A little random act of kindness goes a long way.

Honestly I could not agree more. Ted Lasso is one of the greatest shows I’ve watched in a while. It is perfect, each episode was the perfect length, the right amount of comedy and heartfelt moments. It was the first show in a while that had me upset when it ended. I shall miss watch Ted Lasso ❤️🙏🏾

'I promise you there's something worse than being sad, and that's being alone and being sad.' That scene is better than half the shows out there.

I love when the players all take out pieces of the BELIEVE poster. And I love the little touches about where people store them: Isaac under his Captain’s brassard; Jaime in a book —Colin behind his shin guard. So well thought out.
  • Ted Lasso is the show that brought my father and I closer together after the death of my mother. For years, we both felt the loss of her, but thanks to Jason Sudeikis’ incredible comedy and emotional story telling, it helped bring a smile back to my dads face. Recently I moved away from the UK to San Diego to be with my wife and the finale of Ted Lasso helped make the farewell between my dad and I much better because we know that just like Ted and his family/Richmond, we will always love each other no matter how far apart we are. This series is incredible and I hope that it gives everyone else who watches it the same joy it gave to my father and I.

It's important to note that Ted doesn't just use positivity to cover his pain, that just makes it seem toxic, fake and a defense mechanism. But Ted chooses to be positive, regardless of the circumstance, and it's the choice that makes his positivity so IMPORTANT!

Beard forgiving Nate was probably my favorite scene of the whole show (even if I felt his redemption wasn't fully earned). And I will never forget the "loaf of meth" joke 😂
  • @redphilip
The line in the finale from Rebecca to Ted always gets me: If I sell 49% of the team, I can afford to make you one of the highest paid coaches in the league. I still think I’d be underpaying you for what you mean to this club.
  • @coruscanta
Ted is DEFINITELY not perfect. He’s just lovably imperfect. Seeing his struggles and panic attacks were so validating to me seeing how kind and determined he is so often.
  • @fimmywa
I am not a football fan and Ted Lasso absolutely absorbed my attention span. It's so, so sweet and warm and kind. Every single time I expected the show to jump the shark and cash in for some cheap jokes - it didnt, and the character writing is incredible, every single character deviates from cliche behaviour and that really makes the show feel real.
  • @flikcbigg
Ted Lasso is perfect. As someone who has suffered from panic attacks for 19 years I commend it on being the most realistic depiction of anxiety (for me) ever put to film. I appreciate that everyone's experiences are different but Ted's anxiety attacks are 100% like mine. And that's about the millionth reason why I love this show!
  • @CuratedCinema
Love this show, props to all the writers for a really tight and affecting narrative.
