Great example. They should really put this on their page.

I'm shocked that they can sell them for this price. I've built a Nerdy Gurdy and the materials are nearly what they're charging, sometimes more.
  • I know this has been a while since posted...I appreciated the review (I'm assuming that was you that wrote it)...but if you see this I had a question about the galloping gurdies and some of what you wrote in the blog if you dont mind...(my son had been wanting one desperately for some time now, and like you came across it in SoT)....thanks

Isint this the song they use in the game sea of thieves

Pretty good considering the quality of the intrument, what tuning for the strings did you use?
  • @paulpuljic6025
This is why you need to spend 5x than this to get something decent.

Just ordered mine after about 2 weeks of research . Price yesterday with tax and shipping to Wisconsin was $428 and change. I ordered a black one and it takes 2 weeks for stain to cure. Mine ships on Dec. 31, 2020. I'll be back and let you know how it went. :o)
  • Sound pretty good, but put some pads to cut the bang of those keys. Its louder than the music. I think for $400+ dollars to have one shipped. With this covid crap, got lots of spare time. Think I'll just build one.
  • How are you getting on with your project? Have you done anymore to the galloper? If you need help come and join us on Facebook Facebook hurdy gurdy gateway group...

why not put the fingers on the string like a normal instrument? be cheaper without the keys and you would get the wheel.
