This movie sounds like just one big metaphor about how the world has change and moved on and the uncle just has to accept it.

The "They Live" shirt is a pretty good touch. In that movie, the main character puts on the glasses and ends up the hero, saving the world from the invading aliens, but here Paton Oswalt just becomes some unwilling participant in the whole affair.

Because "Cinethrax" at the bottom just looks like some sort of cinema word. It's from a series called Dimension 404 and the episode is called "Cinethrax" for those wondering.

In 3D Cinema, he uses 2D glasses and discovers a shocking truth Guy: "Oh my God... This movie is actually terrible!!!"
  • @Mythraen
"He lost all his friends, but he could care less about it." How much less, exactly?
  • @Kawa-Yuki
Wait… so why did they even need the 3D glasses if the rest of the world got taken over by aliens without them? That doesn’t make any sense…
  • I don’t think he ”accidentally” used those 2d glasses, seemed pretty purposefully to me 😅
  • @panta2000
I was so sure it was gonna end where the main character is actually experiencing his own form of movie or whatever and he wakes up and everyone’s alright

Was hoping for a plot twist that the whole alien experience was just the 3d movie and Dusty was so impressed that at the end he embraced the new gen tech

That "They Live" shirt hammers things home to those who, well, have lived through this time.

Its funny ppl still see millennials as punk Teenagers. Millennials are closer to dustys age than chloes. Millennials are about 40 years old now and would love a classic 80s movie.
  • "Yeah, get her out of here, old people suck!" "I'll take you to the candy shop" "I'll let you lick the lollipop" "Keep going till you hit the spot" Im impressed how amazing Adam's impression is. You gotta appreciate the jokes and funny impressions Adam does. He gives recaps life
  • "To make matters worse, he doesn't even have the money to purchase the movie tickets, because they are that expensive. This is part of modern living that Uncle Dusty can't run away from" I easily forget how much inflation this world has been through, and the greediness that companies have for this world. We already live in a world where cars have microtransactions

8:53 I love how he says broken piece of glass when she's clearly holding a knife

Many Millennials are hitting their 40, they are not teenagers, they are not taking selfies everywhere they go. Even the younger Millennials will be soon 30. You are talking about the Gen Z or Alfa but certainly not Millennials.
  • @anony2084
I felt the "Keep going until you hit the spot" right through my soul.
  • @noname-yu5jk
“I will take you to the candy shop"🎶 That got me 😂
  • @EvilQueenie
This recap feels like it is a study in how many times the word "Millenial" can be said in one 10 minute video

Patton is a fantastic casting decision for this kind of movie. Also, he's wearing a They Live shirt? Very funny.
