A teacher made us watch this in high school, when I should have been the right age for it, and I was bored to tears. Too eighties for this nineties/2000s kid. Watching it for the second time now that I'm almost Rooney's age and it might join my list of favorite movies.

I actually did something like this in about '81 where he called to get his girlfriend out of school. I won't go too far into the details, but I didn't tell my friend I was doing this. She thought a family member was really ill. There were no questions asked and her mom never found out. We had fun that day too :) I guess I was ahead of my time.
