Science Dave must be fully credited to Red Letter Media's scientist man. As it's just a copy paste of their joke. Which is perfectly apt and in the spirit of being a Talentless Hack. Next on TTT, we're going to repair some VCRs

Since no one seems to have mentioned it yet, they were referring to the AUS$ boxset prices (AUS$485), rather than USD prices (US$290). The UK price is £175.

I did not expect a Tabletop Time / Redletter Media crossover today.

"These Tomb Kings sculpts are ancient." Yes, just as Settra (Great King, the Imperishable, Khemrikhara, etc, etc. ad infinitum ) intended.

Murray: "I've been a fan of skeletons for years... I even have one inside my skin" (I might have paraphrased a little)
  • I honestly dont mind the old Tomb Kings stuff but could just be the nostalgia talking, the prices i agree are crazy though

I'm not going to comment of the boxset itself, but wow, Jen's painting has improved amazingly! I remember some of Jen's first painting videos where her models were sadly out of place next to some of Dave's work which was featured in the same video. I assumed Dave has years more experience of painting his man-dollies? I think it fair to say that Jen is rapidly closing that skill gap, to the point that my wife has started to show an interest in painting some minis. You Go Jen!

A nice and balanced commentary on the old skellies being such a big part of the box, plus some wonderful painting. Thank you!

Something I like about this channel is the different approach you all take to the hobby. It’s always different every vid
  • @C0m3TSw1tch
Glad to know I'm older than at least some of these old sculpts.
  • “The skeleton kits were a bit bare bones” Yes…that’s the idea 😂
  • @mrbigphil22
f'ing love Science Dave!!! i have tears in my eyes laughing lol
  • @AccoSpoot
Okay, here's why I'm personally excited about old kits and apprehensive about modern fiddling. Monoposing. I'm a kitbasher, and those classic kits have always been fucken great at switching bits out. This is especially dire now, with GW seemingly spitefully dismissing kitbashing in all modern advertising materials and making several moves to crack down on it in official play. Don't get me wrong, there are some beautiful monopose models, but I don't want them, I want the models I wanna make not the ones GW tells me to make!

This channel has been a big inspiration, I recently got my first few kits and building and painting them has been a blast.
  • The problem with OBR is you think you're getting skeletons but then you get something which plainly isn't skeletons. They're better thought of as Wayne Barlowe style hell-soldiers with bone exo-skeletons.
  • @Ben-fk9ey
Waw that bone dragon was awesome! Nice work Jen!
  • @Cantorus144
You forgot the new scarab swarms that the tomb kings got
  • The older Tomb King skelies are very easy to convert, with minimum hassle. That's what allows me to run skeletal centaurs for my cavalry.
  • @PatchtheReaper99
The old GW method: If at first you don't succeed, try again with higher prices
  • @CubusMaximus
really nice to see you doing tomb kings. very inspiring.
