In a game of the Pokemon TCG, you usually need to Knock Out your opponent’s Pokemon and take all 6 of your Prize Cards in order to win. You need to use damaging attacks in order to KO Pokemon. However, that doesn’t mean that every card in the game can deal damage through attacks. Today, we’re going to look at the top 10 Pokemon cards that can’t damage your opponent’s Pokemon.

12:05 Note to the editor: Hiro got that part right in the voice-over. A single water energy does power both attacks.

That Ditto is strong. It's just like Single Strike Mustard supporter. He can literally cheat out a Single Strike Urshifu VMAX from the deck (Any single strike, no limitations like basics) + 5 cards if Mustard is your last in your hand.

Am I missing something? For the whole section on solrock and lunatone their ability says (excluding Pokemon-ex). So wouldn’t that not work against half the examples brought up?

video idea: top 10 cards made specifically to counter 1 strategy. for example: the kyurem coming out in the next SV set that does 100 to 3 mons for no energy cost only if your opponent has a colres card in their discard pile (this kills lost zone decks). possibly also the drapion V used to kill mew Vmax; or the huntail/gorebyss with rapid/single strike canceller ability

In the frogdier bit you could have added mirage step kirlia and how good it was, also junk hunt sableye was an amazing card that ran the format, alolan vulpix is also another great Pokemon that was there for stage 2 decks since it let you look for cards, the new cleffa is also seeing a lot of play, as well as rotom v, make a part two for this one!

Palkia and Dialgas Time Control is cool, any other effects like that in the game?

There’s certainly quite an assortment of HM cards missing, but the gimmick of cards that can’t deal any damage, rather than cards never used for their damage, is a neat distinction that hasn’t really been processed much. Neat gimmick!

Ik they're the same card functionally, but has there ever been a reason to run an alt/full art version of a card?
  • I know how to play the Pokémon video games, the Yugioh TCG but I’ve never been able to grasp the Pokemon TCG however the logs videos are too entertaining to pass up

Could you make sure to say what set the Pokémon comes from? Just saying “number 9, we have Jirachi” and leaving it at that isn’t that useful. There’s like 20 Jirachi cards. Which one is it? Also, the Pokémon pronunciation could use some work. Kyurem isn’t pronounced kee-ur-ee-um. Where is the second “u” coming from?
