It's become a common sight on the subways, to get approached by someone selling candy. Many of them are actually migrant mothers who carry their babies on their backs. FOX 5 NY’s Jessica Formoso shows us these young women feel they have no other option, but to make a living this way.

Isn't this welfare fraud? Getting paid while collecting benefits
  • @albertorm799
They could’ve sold candy and fruit in their native country

What about the free cell phones, free shelter, free debit cards, and Medicaid?

Stop the BS propaganda each child is a government monthly paycheck!!!! They have more money than us.
  • This people about 80 percent are scammers, they used the children so you feel sorry and give them money do not fall for that.
  • DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. What they’re doing is NOT REGULATED in any way whatsoever. You do not know where these fruit cups are coming from and this can lead to food poisoning.

Meanwhile there are 70k homeless veterans in America who don’t get the luxury provided by NYC. Let’s not forget homeless Americans either

Good thing they don't need a permit like the rest of us 😅 now that is privilege!!!!
  • What are we supposed to do? Feel sorry and pay more taxes? So they could live better than the homeless citizens and vets that serve our country and are threaten unfairly and deserve more?

Selling us our own $10k EBT debit cards back to us while they enjoy free housing, meals, and iPhones, shameful!
  • They're sending all extra cash back home. They already get housing, I phones, healthcare, debit cards, education, lawyers all free!!

I've seen black children do this for years. Some receiving civil penalties and even gone to jail. Where were the people advocating for them. I seen whole news stories demonizing them. Here you have people breaking the law. Wow. Have times changed.

They were giving tickets and arresting "other" kids that were selling candy on the train but they allow these people to sell no problem.
