Concepts are some of most challenging and rewarding aspects of design. Great video. I love coming up with design concepts, but they take a lot of work and research.
  • @Ashley-ro4xz
I’m gonna cry as to how good these are. How do you manage to fit so much information into one well explained video?????
  • @mrpaulboden
'Less is more, less is bore' !! I like that a lot. Keep up the great work.
  • I loveee this kinda videos! they're so helpful! I adore having new info and new ways of doing things... You inspired me to re-start my sketchbook, since the one I had wasn't the best... and it's been amazing doing it my way, messy and everything but I understand it! Thanks a lot...
  • Hay Rasha, just want to let you know that your videos have made a very big difference in the assignments I produce. I went from failing my last assignment to getting a distinction in the next through watching your videos, you seem to hit the head on every question I have every time. Not to mention I have the “kiss” principle written on my sketch book ;-) Keep it up!

So glad I found your page. Alas, I am being recommended true talent and relevant information. I've been looking for the procedures an architect should take to fully compose and create an idea, from start to finish, without going to school. My difficulty has been knowing the information I am gathering, from start to finish, with an architectural/landscape/interior design. I know there's a few start ups, of individuals that didn't go to school, and create their own construction/home design companies, which really inspires me to continue, but I am buffering and lagging at taking on a project. I had a design request recently, for example, for a canopy, and had no idea where to start, besides sketching up ideas and doing a site analysis. I suppose, more so, the thing that makes me lag, is taking the initiative and finding an engineer to sign off on ideas and construction plans. I wonder, do you need an engineer for all projects, and for how much of the process? Sorry for ranting....phew!
  • I find myself coming to this video at the start of every sem to remind myself of developing concepts. Thank you for the video🙏

Loved this video. I am a french architecture student and everything said here is exactly how we learn architecture in my school. I stopped to write a comment because I just saw the images of fujimoto's projects you talk about in the 2nd part of the video and I have been srudying very closely fujimoto's projects for the past 2 months. It's a kind of an obsession lol.
  • @danialdan426
thanks those tips really helps me . rn i dont know what im doing . i lost track of my project and keep getting rejected by lect while others are prepared to do final board and model . i dont even have a firm concept to begin with . im frustrated . the only thing that i could do is to not be sad and just rise again and come back stronger , fight and never think about failure. just keep going and improving

As a fellow design professional (commercial and residential interior designer of 40yrs ) ID'ers share many, if not all, the tenants and processes as architects , so I found your explanation of concept development well done and informative for the novice designer . Keep up the good work ps Venturi rocks
  • @Himadisu

  • @razorshore
Thank you so much for this video! I learned more on research before designing a building and interior. The site analysis video is very useful too :) keep upload stuff like this
  • @DesignHustle
Very nicely presented! You have inspired me to start a scrapbook for my projects :) Keep up the good work!
  • @tobilol4756

  • @busrab1776
Thank you!!! Stupendous sketches and way to create architectural design!
  • @viva9303
Can you upload a video on how you develop plans, perspectives and how you add complexity to it? It would be really helpful!!! Nice video!!!
  • @MirosPeace
Is always a pleasure to watch your videos. You'll be a terrific architect some day, and I hope to see that
  • @chongmandy979
Thanks for your video! Your content is so inspiring! I always enjoy watching your videos to find ideas and rendering tips. As a landscape architecture student in Hong Kong, I’m stuck when moving to the ‘complexity’ part sometime as I don’t know how to deepen the meaning of my designs and develop creative forms. It would be great to know more about the ‘complexity’ in your coming videos!
  • @odd7646
Keep up the good work, your work has really made me grow as an Architectural technology student... Still got a long way to go...
