Word has it that in early 1984 Apple actually contemplated using this song as the soundtrack to their iconic original "Hello" Mac introduction. In the end, Lady Gaga's licensing fees were too high for the fledgling technology company and Steve Jobs had to tune down the scale of the introduction.

Being a teen in the 80s was difficult, my mom wouldn’t allow me to listen to Gaga’s music b/c it was the music of the devil. I saved and saved to buy her 1984 album & hid it in my locker at school.

My God I remember her shows being an absolute masterpiece to live through, especially her 1985 tour that starred this chart topper that was just seemingly the song of the times. Hot summer days with roller skates, peach iced tea, and this song. Those were the days.

I remember when I was working out at Bally’s Fitness in the free weight area and my girlfriend wanted me to join her for an aerobics class that was starting. Was hesitant at first, but when this song came on, the moves became so easy, like floating on air.

I remember the day in 1984 when this song came out, my grandpa bought our first tv machine, turned it on and THIS song started playing. truly amazing even after all these years, can't believe lady gaga is 87 years old now.
