This was built using the arduino micro-controller with a series of sensors, actuators and other components.

An ultrasonic sensor mounted on a DC motor was used to calculate the distance of the robot from obstacles, when any obstacle is encountered in the range, the DC motor works to turn the ultrasonic sensor both left and right to scan for obstacles in both directions and decide which direction to go.

An HC-05 bluetooth module is also been used to interface the robot with an android application to enable manual drive.

The next steps for this project is to also install a camera for object recognition in other to improve it's smooth navigation and help achieve environmental awareness etc.
