  • you know you found a good guy when he cant talk about renovating a lawn while seemingly putting mo effort into shoving how much more educated and well versed he is in the matter down your throat. Best teachers are humble. (also the intermission to play with your dog while explaining lawn tips also shows your character.

Be really nice to see someone do this to the average lawn, Ya know one of those lawns thats uneven ands has dips from weeds...again something the average person will more than likely be dealing with.

I’ve worked in golf maintenance for 20 years, and I couldn’t imagine putting this much effort into the front yard (lawn) as y’all call it. Much less the bentgrass green you are about to hand water daily. I commend you.

seeded my first lawn ever last week. Its an extension to my existing lawn, about 120m2. Definetly couldnt have done it without your tips and tricks, thanks man. Next year i have to do a renovation on the existing lawn, so ill make sure to come back to this video then! keep up the good work man!!

It's funny because in France even very well-maintained lawns are not to this extent (exept in golfs), this one would have seemed to me to be in superb condition even though I am a landscaper. But we don't have the same approach to landscaping at all. You're doing a good job. Big up From France!

Im happy you go back to these basic videos. Totally relatable to where I’m at atm. Great video.
  • I got one of those hollow tine manual aerators, this will be the 3rd year using it. First year was like trying to core cement! Id jump on the aerator with 100odd kilos of might and itd just go in about 5mm. Last year i pretty much bottomed out everywhere except main foot traffic areas. 100% recommend aerating if you have never done so. It will (and has made) a world of difference.

This was an aggressive reno . Great to see you back working on the front lawn again. .
  • Seeing you beat this lawn right down makes me feel a bit better about mine. I dethatched and then scarified mine and it was looking really rough, and I thought I might have taken it too far, but it seems to be recovering. I did overseed as well and watered for a few days and now we’ve got several days of rain which makes my life a lot easier. New York so it’s cool season grass. I feel I’m being sucked into the rabbit hole of lawn care and by next year I might be ordering in truckloads of sand and buying a reel mower. Jk I don’t think I’ll ever take it that far but these YouTube lawns always look beautiful. It’s certainly a lot of work though.

Did my first ever lawn Reno on Kikuyu last year. I’m thinking I might do it every fourth year or so. Respect to you guys doing it every year.
  • I would never do anything like this since I don't care if my lawn looks top notch, but it's enjoyable watching someone who does and seeing what it takes.

Ryobi dethatcher has been an absolute treat, there are other brands available now as well

Great to see you back working on the front lawn again. 👍👍

PLT: If using an aerating machine, good idea to disinfect the tines before using. Lots of lawn diseases to worry about without injecting some other guy's problem into your lawn. A bucket with some bleach and soap is all it takes. A hose and a spray bottle of bleach might suffice.

When you go to find the update from the latest video, and realise it's autumn in the UK and spring in Aus 😭 - This vid was so cool though. Just started doing a bit of work on my dad's lawn as he neglects it a bit. Don't think he'd be happy if I scalped it all the way back next spring, although I'm tempted after watching this! Thanks for sharing! 🤟
