Hey, everybody! YuseiTheSynchroHero/1ΣΣ7§PΣΣÐ (1337SP33D) here! Alright, guys! So more Spirit Beast cards have been revealed and you know what THAT means! That's right. It's time to do another video discussion! This is part 3 of my Spirit Beast discussion! This time around, there are 4 brand newly revealed Spirit Beast cards! And let me tell ya: These cards gave me QUITE a bit of hope, ya know?

What do I mean by THAT, you might ask? Well... I'll be honest with you guys: While I like Spirit Beast Tamer Lera for her "1 card play" enabling and Sacred Spirit Beast Mount Apelio (the main boss monster as we can figure) for being a solid beatstick and that "Star Eater" immunity to card effects while attacking thing, I DO feel like Petolfin and Kannahawk looked REALLY mediocre (even when I see the potential in both of them) at least when you compare them to what you might have seen so far with Necloth and Hermit Youkai! But these four new cards? THAT'S what I'm talkin' about! :]] Nice and solid cards that make Petolfin and Kannahawk work really well in the future!

Sacred Spirit Beast Mount Petolfin is basically the 2800 DEF Fusion monster. Not only does this here dolphin got a big ass, he can't be destroyed by card effects either. That's not too bad obviously! Your opponent would have to get a stronger monster out or use some "non-destruction" effect (Of course that's not that heard nowadays but still) to handle this so you can use this guy to stall for a bit until you get some combo pieces or somethin'.

Elder of the Spirit Beasts is your "Extra Normal Summon" guy kinda like how Constellar Pollux and Evilswarm Castor works! Pretty simple actually so I don't really have to explain his uses here... but he looks VERY familar. Hmmmmmm :]

Bond with the Spirit Beasts is a Quick-Play Spell Card that allows you to BASICALLY "Contact Fusion Summon" even during the opponent's turn (OH GEEZ!). That's pretty damn good when timed correctly especially! You can essentially make up for the fact that when you "De-Fuse" one of your Spirit Beast Mounts back to a Spirit Beast Tamer and a Noble Spirit Beast monster, you normally wouldn't be able to Contact Fuse during the opponent's turn. But with THIS card, you most certainly can and that's mainly because it also ignores the Summoning conditions! So it's as if you were doing a proper Contact Fusion Summon. Not bad at all! Definitely a welcome addition!

Combination with the Spirit Beasts is a pretty cool card effect wise and artwork-wise. REALLY demonstrating the teamwork they have! This Trap Card allows you to destroy any number of monsters that are on the field up to the number of Spirit Beast monsters you have in play! So I mean, if you're using Spirit Beast Tamer Lera's effect, you'll have at LEAST 2 Spirit Beast monsters out at once so you'll hit at least 2 monsters with it. What's also pretty sweet (or annoying) is the fact that, based on how it's "currently" worded, this card doesn't target. So it's like hitting someone with the effect of Artifact Moralltach during THEIR turn (his effect doesn't target either) but you can potentially hit more than 1 monster. Not too shabby! Obviously, it's not good against decks that are immune to destruction or just float for days! But it's good solid disrupting power nonetheless!

I am DEFINITELY picking up this archetype!!! I mean, I was gonna get them just from the first 2 parts but seeing Part 3 just made my decision 100%!!! Cant wait for DN to put these cards up so I can test them out and come up with some neat builds :)
  • @SebTsch
I start to like this new archetype. :)

I was waiting for you to make this. :] The quick play spell makes the deck faster, same with Kamui 50 year timeskip version. Kamui must be sad that Winda's evil now. The trap is kind of meh right now because everything in the game says "If this card is sent to the graveyard: win the game" or "This card cannot be touched in anyway possible. It's also water proof and has been known to survive radiation". I really wish it bounced, it seems like bouncing would make more sense in this archetype's case.

It is possible that these are the future generation of the gustos. Many of the gusto tribe was wiped out.
