Been saying this bro. Toronto music is too oppy and everything is a diss track
  • Toronto had a 5yr stretch where they were droppin the best tracks in the world ( im not talking drake at all) , however torontos rap scenes chance to blow up went down when houdini got shot down

Toronto does have its own sound when it comes to hip hop and rap music. The problem with Toronto we abandon our own sound to jump on everybody shit. So we're being exposed for jumping on everybody's bandwagon . real Toronto we don't jump on anybody shit .

It may be the latest Toronto rappers that don't sound good. I'm old, so I remember the days of Maestro Fresh Wes, Kardinal Offishall, Choclair, Ghetto Concept, and Dream Warriors. Toronto hip hop in the late 80s to the 2000s was more creative and sounded great. Even some US rappers talked about our music scene. The only new GTA rapper I listen to is Haviah Mighty (I know she's from Brampton). It could be these latest rappers are trying too hard.

    1. Work ethic is garbage, 2. Those who have great work ethic, refuse to expand on the topics they rap about, 3. Foolish politics get in the way of investors or even videographers who would like to work with "rappers", 4. EGO (kills careers and individuals), 5. No authenticity, 6. Peer pressure and yes man.

The fact you’re only 21/22 is CRAZY. I’m 27 and you sound like you’re my age, or even early 30’s

Most of the good rappers from Toronto are dead, in jail, or they've moved to LA.
  • America has structure and an actual music scene that is being invested into plus the landscape is just bigger. Canada doesn’t put money into anything if it’s not hockey you have to go through a million loop holes just to get noticed out here. You guys want street rappers to stop being street rappers no gang affiliation and a whole bunch of rules as in America they just wanna hear music

Everyone wants to be a rapper! If you can't even put a sentence together...leave the rap business alone!
  • I always enjoy watching your videos and gaining some POV from Toronto, Love from Scotland

Need some J Cole & Kendrick Lamar's of the World in the City 🥴🤷🏿‍♂
  • I remember back around 2016ish (I can't remember the exact date) but when 365 galore dropped. I was hoping for Jayy Brown to actually continue his grind. He took a break n lost all the attention. One of his newest songs "lost in translation" is a rlly good song. But since he lost that attention he got w 365 galore, it hasn't got that many views. That song isn't block music at all, he has a good voice, decent lyrics, and the song itself has a nice beat. To me whenever someone in Toronto who doesn't make block, they will take a break and lose that attention that they and then just fade out of the spot light.
