I remember reading how Aladdin caused problems with writing credits because of Robin Williams’ improv

Rest in peace, Robin Williams, he really made the Genie unforgettable, and one of his most iconic roles. It's almost a decade since we lost him.

RIP Robin Williams and Gilbert Gottfried, they really did give a wonderful performance to their characters that made them iconic.
  • I think we can all agree that Robin Williams's impersonation of the Genie is gonna make the #1 spot; he is a king of impersonation of sorts, after all.
  • Even if these particular animated movie moments are unscripted, They still played a big part in making these movies the iconic Masterpieces that we know them as today!

The improvised moments are the coolest and the actors who did it are also great. My favs are: The Genie, the hula scene never gets old for me, Olaf, Bruno in Encanto, The Hatter from Alice in Wonderland,

Although James Woods did a marvelous job being Hades; however, Jack Nicholson being a serious Hades in Hercules is one those "what if" moments that I would have been interested in seeing.

The first "Shrek" also won the first Oscar for best animated feature!

Ed Wynn was one of the actors approached to play The Wizard in the 1939 classic film The Wizard Of Oz, however, the role was too small for him. For Disney, he voiced the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland (1951) and portrayed Uncle Albert in Mary Poppins (1964). His performance as the Mad Hatter served as inspiration and reference for the character King Candy in the 2012 Disney animated feature film Wreck-It Ralph. Wynn died June 19, 1966 in Beverly Hills, California of throat cancer, aged 79. He was interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, and his gravestone reads "Dear God, Thanks... Ed Wynn". His granddaughter stated in her speech when accepting his Disney Legends award on his behalf that Walt Disney was a pallbearer at his funeral.

Achilles Heel in Hunchback of Notre Dame, Put that thing back where it came from in Monsters Inc, the Timon and Pumbaa doing the Hula in the Lion King, Samantha in frozen 2 are among my favorites in this list that still crack me up to this day as well as the legendary antics of both the late Robin Williams as genie and Gilbert Godfrey as Iargo in Aladdin 👍❤️😂

I see Robin, I click and I will start crying. I wish he got the help he needed. Sadly, the people who make us laugh always have unresolved inner turmoil hence the common cause of death for comedians are suicides and drug overdoses.
  • My top 5 funny animated movies with improv (by year) 1. Aladdin (1992) 2. Hercules (1997) 3. The Emperor’s New Groove (2000) 4. Kung Fu Panda Franchise (2008-) 5. Megamind (2010)

I never really watched the Hunchback when I was a kid because I didn't much get it, but as an adult, it's one of my favourites. I never caught "Achilles, heel," though. That's awesome.

wait Jane Porter was Minnie Driver? the same actress of movie!PoTO La Carlotta? also just noticed Buzz Lightyear made the Vulcan salute (Kohanim blessing) after the "sad, strange little man" tbf Hades was a grave, "serious character" in the original myths, not to be messed with (e.g. the Chair of Forgetfulness punishment for Pirithoüs, when Herakles rescued his cousin Theseos during the Cerberos Labor) the only exception was with Orpheos when he pleaded for Eurydike's ressurection also didn't know Tulio & Miguel were Captain Phoebus & Gilderoy Lockhart
