This guy has such a humble character. He's down to earth, stoic and intelligent too. It's a pleasure having someone the complete opposite of some of the highly emotional people that are walking on tour nowadays.

From playing tennis only twice a week while figuring out what he wanted to do with his life, to world number 1. What a legend.

it was really nice to see his hometown and get to know him better, people sometimes call him boring and robotic but it seems the opposite off court and this video definitely shows more of his personality.
  • One of the most down to earth guys in ATP. Proud to be a fan of his! Very well deserved Jannik, to many more successes to come 🥂
  • Jannik and Alcaraz are such great ambassadors of how to be humble and competitive and aggresive at the same time.

So he played multi sports as a kid and only played tennis twice a week. Somehow, he was the Italian junior skiing champion and now the world’s No. 1 tennis player.

Come back to his childhood town in South Tyrol. At 14 he decide without his parents to leave the mountains, to play tennis and explore the cities, cultures and the world from Australia to Canada. Now he's come back to his home town 8,5 years later, as a Grand Slam Champion, World Nr. 1, many titles, trophies and many big wins over the best Players in the world 🇮🇹🦊🥕😍🇦🇹
