    You can’t predict where people get their ideas from. The biggest mistake people of our generation make is assuming that most people are dumb. Playing dumb is an evolutionary trait in humans, and is one of the most effective ways to avoid social punishment or enforcement, and is also the easiest way to dispel social conflicts. People do care about the underlying intention, as intentions are incredibly important to others.

    It’s a bit reductive to say trump supporters just fall in line with trump. Very few human beings get that kind of control. In reality Donald trump taps into their pre existing fears and concerning and amps it up

    Trump is way ahead in the polls right now. Kinda hard to see a way Biden can pull this off at this point. Especially considering it seems like the majority of left wing content creators are advocating people vote third party or not at all.

    It was Trump being sane and not populist for enough. He knows what the populist types want to hear and then just says or does that; this was too populist for him and he probably couldn't accept it properly. Same thing will happen if he continues to support Ukraine.

    My theory is that in 2021 when vaccines were rolling out, Trump was out of office, globally humiliated and disgraced and wasn't really speaking very much publicly (he only had 5 rallies in all of 2021 post-presidency). He did not dominate the discourse like he did as president or like he is doing now as a candidate, so he lost control of the vaccine narrative that his cult believed.
