When an eel bites your thigh and you bleed out and die, that's a Moray.
-
It's amazing how adept the fish is at keeping the spines turned toward the eel, even swimming upside down.
-
Lionfish are not poisonous, they are venomous. The difference between poison and venom is the method of delivery. Venom must be injected into the bloodstream to cause injury, such as through a sharp spine or fang, but is harmless if drunk or eaten. Poison has to be ingested or absorbed to be harmful; lionfish carry no poison in the edible meat of the fish.

the spines are not as painful as the music is
-
That Moray Eel was inexperienced at hunting Lionfish. Give enough times and he/she will have a strategy.
-
Wow this footage is amazing thank you so much for capturing and sharing Love this!
-
Fascinating behavior seeing the Lionfish keeping its dorsal fin spines oriented to the Morays face/mouth no matter its position in the water column.
-
This is exactly why the lionfish are thriving. Lionfish just aren't worth the risk for most predators.
-
Amazing how they all know each other and the capabilities.... Nature rocks!!!
-
Nice clear, HD video and beautiful colors. Thumbs up.
-
they way the eel moved backwards in response to the spines reminded me of a dog
-
Damn those fish are smart always pointing the spine at them
-
Bless the soothing music of the second part Edit: well, that didn't last long
-
Very beautiful fish. Love watching this video
-
I didn't know Lion Fish attended underwater raves.
-
When even a moray eel won't touch it, you know it's a total PoS!
-
Lionfish swim slow but can turn on a dime, can quickly turn their venomous spines against any predators... They're virtually indestructible, why they multiplied like crazy, and why reefs are dying...
-
Question when a predator [like the green moray, groupers, ect...] can they or do they develop toxic meat?
-
That is beautiful picture, but a sad story.
