Awesome 773 Hudson!

Fantastic find! So cool that your friend alerted you to the sale and that’s the engine you found there! And you are obviously very happy, and who wouldn’t be, that is such a gorgeous engine. I didn’t realize the 773 came with different tenders, good to know. Thanks for sharing.

Congratulations! I got my 773 2 years ago. My favorite steam locomotive I have. Make sure you lube it up including cleaning out the old grease from the gearbox & add new. Very nice find!

Sweet!!!! Love the estate sales. Love to know what you got it for.

Congrats on a great find. Even if it's the New York Central version, most of us are pretty jealous. Keep good care of her and hope to see her running soon.
-
I would definitely keep the boxes because there in excellent condition, if you did decide to sell her the buyer would want the boxes!🚂
-
Nice find! Hope to see a run session video once you clean lube and oil!

I thought I had a great find this weekend with the purchase of a 671 tubine with the 2671wx tender with factory tail lights. You win 🏆 Bill

Great train to have!

That's beautiful! I just bought the "66" NYC 773 myself. I almost didn't but, my buddy who has been collecting for over forty years said you better or it will be gone. Glad I did

Beautiful 773. Looks like it is in awesome shape. Enjoy it for a long time. By the way, your peach shirt looks very stylish on you. Nice wardrobe choice.

Really nice!

Nice find, my 773 is a prized part of my train collection. I was lucky enough to be gifted the complete 2169WS freight set many years ago by a relative. He wanted my young children to enjoy it. My family and I will treasure it forever and remember him every time we run it. Good luck with your 773.

WOW! great find! I know where there is a 773 1950's version with Lionel lines tender for sale in my home town. After watching your vid and reading the comments, I'm thinking I need to take the plunge in it.
