This game has an extremely valuable feature that I found most other games are lacking: a helpful and welcoming community.

I think the only thing I and most other Warframe veterans can really do is recommend playing through the main story until you complete the second dream. It's a very memorable experience for almost everyone that plays Warframe and it opens up a lot of the universe of Warframe from a lore perspective.

What really blew me away was the story in this game. I did not expect it at all. Once I started doing the story quests.. man.. the music.. the revelations... The second dream questline is still one of my alltime favourite game questlines. And one of the best things in this game is the community. You can always find someone to help or explain something. The most important thing is that because it is such a vast game you can play however you want to play it. Open world - you got it, stealth mission - pick the right frame and weapons and no one will ever know you were there, prefer the heads on approach - pick a map and go wild. It really is a great game overall.

Man, I hope he plays enough to get The Second Dream, The War Within, and The Sacrifice. The story is so good.

You know what Mike, I'm so fucking glad that blizzard basically shooting itself in the face has opened so many doors for you. With all these companies approaching you with offers, I get excited with every new video
  • @ayukuro1019
Preach:The gameplay is fast Warframe veterans: Basically falling asleep by how slow the start is :D

If you’re going for story, aim to do the second dream, and try to avoid spoilers. People won’t spoil it for you, the community has some respect for the revelations of the big quests. I wish I could play it again and even though I’ve been on and off since warframe first began I’ve always come back to it when I’m bored.

As a Warframe player of many years, its interesting to hear your take on the game. Just some clarification: a Prime (weapon or warframe) is a slightly better version of the base model, example: Mag and Mag Prime. Mag is one of the Starter warframes, while Mag Prime is a slightly better version you can farm later via the relic system (the loot table thing mentioned in the video) While Primes are generally a bit stronger, it is important to know they are not necessarily a MUST HAVE. I hope you continue to enjoy the game though.

I envy Preach, he's got a whole lot to discover in warframe. I wish I could do it again. The game is so big. Liches, Helminth, Railjack and the quests.
  • This is why Totalbiscuit became a Legend after dropping WoW, that is the secret, you don't need WoW, noone does.

10 years and thousands of hours later and I'm still enjoying Warframe. Yes, some of it is a grind but in the world of grindy games, Warframe is really not bad compared to other games I play. Tips: Gain access to a clan dojo for "easy" access to weapons and gear Complete the star chart (for full unlocks) Complete all your quests (for fun storyline based gameplay and interesting lore and a better understanding of the game) Get familiar with all the different mission types Get yourself a set of extractors so you can passively collect resources when you're not playing And.... HAVE FUN! The beautiful thing about Warframe is that for the most part you really only have to do the things that you enjoy doing. Once you get all the items on the list above done, you really aren't tied to doing what the game tells you to be doing. You can spend your time doing the things you enjoy in the game. If something is locked behind parts of the game you don't enjoy too much, go to recruiting chat and get a team together to help you get past it as fast as possible. Warframe really is in a league all on its own when it comes to the variety that a single game offers. Enjoy!

My kid got me addicted to this darn game and I love it. I hadn't played any real video games in about 18 years and it's been an experience that I'm thoroughly enjoying. Keep playing Warframe. It's worth it,and some of the quests are absolutely amazing!
  • @Aei934
Warframe is one of those games that I wish I could play with fresh eyes all over again. Not only does the game get better and better as you understand it better, but there's a certain period around 20 hours in where the game becomes absolutely addicting.
  • @miscast8180
Warframe was an eye-opener for me. Before it the word "grind" was always being thrown around with a lot of negativity. But if the gameplay loop is as good as in warframe does the massive grind really have to be a bad thing? I´d recommend getting to Second Dream. I remember being blown away by it.
  • @darkglass1
The gameplay and the storyline go way, way deeper than you yet know. What has always amazes me after thousands of hours is the deep lore and story for a simple free to play looter shooter. You must play the quests, big and small, to start the storyline unlocks.
  • @Atoll-ok1zm
Advice for playing warframe for the first time? Do whatever you want. When you get stuck look for a tutorial but be careful, there are MASSIVE story spoilers that change the way the game works. Trust me qhen I say you want to experience it properly. Keep in mind you've only seen the tip of the iceberg and this game goes deep. The main story doesn't really start until like 40 hours in. Also, if you have questions there is a dedicated q/a chat channel which should help you avoid spoilers.
  • @ThHeroKSA
preach I am so happy that you are trying out warframe, I put like 2000 hrs into it and I love seeing you figuring out stuff! I cant wait to see you doing second dream and the quests beyond that!
  • @bloodglacier
Warframe is a perfect example of how to have "Grind" be your games content and have it actually keep you WANTING to play. Im sitting at around 4400 hrs on steam and i can't think of many games that have held my attention for that amount of time, though I have had plenty of breaks over the years.

One of the best pieces of advice I can give a new player, get the mod for your dog, cat, or sentinel that picks up loot at a distance. "Fetch" "Vacuum" They are probably the most useful mods in the game, and max them out as soon as you can.
  • @christ1121
Definitely recommend completing the main quests up until the second dream, at that point the gameplay will open up in variety and the story gains a whole new dimension
