So weird how something can sound futuristic and vintage at the same time

Some guy is going to ride an actual hoverboard drinking cranberry juice listening to this song in 2050
  • "I was doing fine without you, till' I saw your eyes, turn away from mine." Realest line.

❤ Someone said they left together I ran out the door to get her She was holding hands with Trevor Not the greatest feeling ever Said, "Pull yourself together You should try your luck with Heather" Then I heard they slept together Oh, the less I know the better The less I know the better Oh, my love, can't you see yourself by my side? No surprise when you're on his shoulder like every night Oh, my love, can't you see that you're on my mind? Don't suppose you could convince your lover to change his mind? So goodbye She said, "It's not now or never Wait ten years, we'll be together" I said, "Better late than never Just don't make me wait forever" Don't make me wait forever Don't make me wait forever Oh, my love, can't you see yourself by my side? I don't suppose you could convince your lover to change his mind? I was doin' fine without you 'Til I saw your face, now I can't erase Givin' in to all his bullshit Is this what you want? is this who you are? I was doin' fine without you 'Til I saw your eyes turn away from mine Oh, sweet darling, where he wants you Said, "Come on Superman, say your stupid line" Said, "Come on Superman, say your stupid line" Said, "Come on Superman, say your stupid line"

Songs like this make you feel timeless... like yesterday is today and today is yesterday...

Ghosted by the woman I spoke to for two years. Decided, after 3 months of waiting that I deserved better, and so I’d fully focus on myself. Went for a 25 dollar epiphany burger, as my final lunch in this unholy coast. Had just spoke to an expert of the new field of business I’m in who said repeatedly how they knew it was my calling. The guys across the patio were complaining about their jobs as realtors. The couple behind me was quiet, but they were happy, they had a new born who giggled and cooed. It reminded me that purpose could also be fulfilling. I thought about how you’d be obsessing over this stupid eclipse like it’d somehow change your life. I used to love when you’d ramble about mysticism and the cosmos. Magnificent and infinite like the universe, that’s how I once felt about you. Whoever you’re with now doesn’t see you that way. This song started playing and it’s extremely groovy baseline reminded me that if I stopped thinking about you, I could appreciate masterful music like this. Like I once did.

Such a grand bass line. All is perfect with this. I haven't been amazed in a very long time. Bravo! Love it. Thank you for your talent

This song was shared with me from one of my stoner friends. What a hell of a guy, but this song has literally comforted me a lot during my whole life falling apart, then I listened to other songs from Tame Impala and safe to say, my favorite artist. Its truly amazing what music can do, thats why music will definitely be a forever thing.

The bass guitar in this song is one of the most satisfying sounds I have ever heard

Man, this song really resonates with me. I used to have a great teacher for 7 years (knew him for 10 years) and in person he's a really sociable guy people really want to be around, he never demanded respect or anything at all, people respected him because he knew what was right and wrong. He lived simply and enjoyed life to the fullest and always so positive about everything... He always stuck his way of teaching, instead of forcing information in your head he would just present the teachings to you and you would be the one responsible for taking it in. One time in his class I opened a playlist of songs I listen to (since he was super laid back and enjoyed the student's freedom), and this song happened to play. I was enjoying this song since it was the second or third time I was listening to it and bopping my head to it, out of nowhere when the chorus hit I will never forget the time he sang along since he wasn't really a music guy. I had the biggest smile anyone could ever imagine, a teacher relating to a student through music. It really hit... He sadly passed away last year in 23 September, 2020 from Diabetes. May your soul rest in peace you wonderful person... Edit: Everyone replying is so wonderful! I hope for anyone who is going through a bad time can get through it, it's only a matter of time until good times will come. :)
  • It's crazy how accurate this song can be to so many relationships, some people just can't relate & the ones that do! Understand this guys heartache & frustration.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like this song is super nostalgic for some reason?
  • @bunsenn5064
    1. Who’s Trevor? 2. Who’s Heather? 3. The less I know, the better?
  • there’s a reason so many people love tame. it’s music that truly touches the soul. it’s crazy that kevin never knew how important he would be to the world
