Just grabbed my QM8 a couple weeks ago. Absolutely love it and don't regret my choice at all, but I'm glad the U8K is fantastic as well. More competition from the non premium brands is good for all of us as consumers!
  • @bucki911
Great review, Caleb. I always appreciate your great work. ATSC 3.0 is important to me so I'd have to pick the U8K in this comparison.

Really enjoy your content! Super informative while also digestible. I appreciate the detailed stuff like the Nit Nerd section, so please don't stop!
  • @imakemloose69
Thank you for the compare video. I was going with the TCL from the last review vid and now its def a must own by the end of the year.
  • @justynchris2159
Absolutely one of the best reviews y'all have done. I loved you stepping in and pointing out the slight differences in both for all of us amateurs to see and explaining them. More side by side reviews would be appreciated.
  • @367scotty
Purchased the TCL. Thankyou for all the reviews and doing all the hard work.
  • @salriz7385
Awesome video as always. Looks like you can't do wrong with either one. You make TV reviews fun sir! Can't wait for the nakamichi and Sonos match up
  • TCL QM8 vs Sony X90L please. And thanks for this. Other reviewers drag their videos out for hours with useless banter and shout outs. You're the man Caleb. 🤙

This video helped me a lot. I chose the U8k because it's on sale at Walmart right now for $898. I dont regret it at all because sound quality is important to me. I do have a home stereo, but there are times I want to listen quieter than that can provide. Most of my watching is in a darkened room, so the brightness isnt all that important to me. Either way, I feel I couldnt have gone wrong though. Thank you for this. Youve made a subscriber out of me.

I just bought a U8K for $750 last weekend and I'm pretty happy with the purchase. I use my PS5 for apps, so no real problem there for me. Also, a side note on the remote, you can stand the remote up on it's end. It's an unusual feature, but I assume that is how Hisense intended the remote to sit.
  • @mi1stormilst
I own a TCL and a Hisense and I like them both. You make good points between these two, but I think the extra brightness blowing out images on the TCL is enough to make me choose the Hisense.
  • @InimicusSolitus
I got the U8K 65" over a month ago and I have to say I am very happy. My son came over the other day and commented on how nice the TV was, and that it was better than his Samsung :) I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great TV that won't brake the bank.
  • @jasonhurdlow6607
I wish this video covered console and PC gaming usage. That would be the deciding factor for me. The previous generation Hisense had some issues there (had one and returned it). Otherwise it seems like a "which one has the better sale" will be the go-to.
  • @revfogle
I REALLY wanted to purchase the TCL but for me, the lack of ASTC 3.0 is a deal breaker because of where I live and the number of 3.0 channels available.
  • @markwexy1621
Caleb, once again you slayed this review comparison!
  • @santi0819able
Great job as always, good catch on the built-in apps
  • Either one of these 2 tv's are a win win this year if you are looking for a great miniled tv. Both are value priced and both have lots of features most people want. 😊
  • Great comparison review. Wondering if you were to take into account warranties, historical reliability and software update stability as factors, which would be the better choice?
  • @cary56248
loved your review. I made my own comparison at a store and can't wait for my u8k to be delivered. Just a quick comment...I noticed your speaker set-up in the background, and would like to suggest that you move them at least 1 foot or more away from the wall. You'll notice a huge sound improvement.
  • @mthawksfan9483
Maybe I missed it in another video, but I am hoping we get a DT review on the U7K sometime soon. Anyways, this was a great video and we appreciate all the work you put in for us!
