His presentation style is so smooth. He didn't flounder once.
  • Okay, the mantis shrimp boiling water to exceed the temperature of the sun's surface is literally the craziest motherfxxking thing I ever heard.
  • @JayBird_313
So starfish not having a brain and always being hungry finally makes sense with Patrick..
  • a literal shrimp creating heat as hot as the sun by punching water, my lord.
  • Thats my professor!!! Omg!!! Absolutely loved his class last year, definitely one of my favorites I've ever taken!

I imagine them putting on the hat and saying “LoOK iM a hoOMAN” and all the other orcas laugh hysterically
  • @lukesguywalker
Imagining a pod of orcas proudly displaying their rotting fish hats is so funny to me 😭 EDIT: didn't expect a comment I made in passing thought and then promptly forgot about to elicit quite so many fake deep replies, but here we are

I could have watched a couple hours of this guy answering questions. He explained enough without going overboard or racing through and not really answering. Super interesting.
  • @SciMinute
I couldn't get enough of this guy answering questions. He struck the perfect balance, thorough without being overwhelming or rushing through without real answers. Absolutely fascinating!
  • @morgansmith334
This was super interesting. Everyone who’s interested in aliens should just be a marine biologist
  • @AlecAkin
Definitely more of Dr. Kory would be awesome, WIRED!

It is extremely humbling to hear an expert disclose specific information right off the dome. Incredibly smart human!!
  • @academicstewart
Guys, "Fishes" is correct. The only time "fish" is used in the plural is when you are referring to many of one kind of fish. (Which is what we do normally). It is "Fishes" when you are referring to the entirety of the paraphyletic group.
  • I've always wondered if there were immortal beings, and having them be jellyfish just somehow made a lot of sense to me
  • He's so cool! I could listen to him talk about marine life for hours!
  • @sz9635
I love when an expert so clearly love their field. Super interesting stuff
  • these are the type of videos that are worth to watch on internet. all the architecture of each creature, molecules, the elements of the earth and the sky is beyond amazing!
