Hey, just so you all know, I also started using a new microphone starting with this video! Let me know what you think of it if you noticed!
  • You think a better premise would be if Tylor was the "top scarer" at his school, he'd have an extremely aggressive and serious personality that was forced to adapt to a light-hearted and comedic environment. Imagine all the funny possibilities of a horrific, bloodthirsty beast forced to conform into silly shenanigans with bubbly co-workers!

I really loved that one scene in the final episode where Sully opens up to Tylor. I really liked how they emphasized how Sully felt terrible about scaring Boo
  • Tyler Tuskman is a name that just screams "supporting cast," not "main character." If Mike and Sully just worked with the guy instead of him basically replacing them, it'd just seem like harmless worldbuilding instead of offensively lame.
  • Tyler Tuskman is the kind of character that appears in the background of one scene and all information in their wiki page comes a 2 sentence tweet the writer made while they were drunk

There's something about looking at blue Mike that I can't help but have a slight smile in my soul. It's cheap, lazy, and pretty soulless, but there's something about seeing two Mikes on the screen at once

Tyler's design put me off the show because it felt like they tried to make him...attractive. His physique, the gelled hair...he just come off as such a "DeviantArt OC" and it creeps me out. Edit: JFC you just called them "DeviantArt OCs" and I'm about to die

I'm gonna say it. They wanted to market him as a tumblr sexyman. I feel it in my bones. The triangle body, the horns, the mostly humanoid body type when we definitely have gotten weirder ones?
  • The thing that bothers me about Val's backstory is that if she's the kind of person to talk to a guy one single time and believe that makes them best friends, then she should be under the delusion that she's friends with everybody. Her personality is that she's affectionate, wears her emotions on her sleeve and isn't shy about getting into people's faces. The idea that she was lonely and never had any other friends in college just doesn't mesh with what we know about her. Honestly, her being a wierdo who thinks she's the most popular person around even though no one can stand her is a lot funnier than her just being single mindedly focused on Tyler.
  • Tyler Tuskmen looks like if someone tried to make Duncan from Total Drama into a monster and failed miserably

I legit forgot this TV show existed 💀

This premise would’ve worked better if the main character was actually kinda scary. Make him bigger than Sully, more imposing, a darker color palette and none of the softer features like fur or friendly eyes. This guy who would’ve killed it as a scare-r if only Monsters Inc. still used Scream power. So now this giant hideous abomination has to try to learn comedy but it doesn’t come easy because most kids scream at him in sight. That’s a way better premise!

Watching JS get so furious over a character design is so much more entertaining than it has any right to be. But yes, just last night, I was watching 24 Frames of Nick roast Paws of Fury and one of the many criticisms was the character designs and how forgettable they are. Character design is one of my favorite things in animation since there is almost no limit to that and if done well, it really makes me want to check out a show or movie.

Personally I like the idea of Tyler kinda being the reverse Sully. Like make Tylor look naturally scary, but then have him be really nice. Idk
  • One of the most interesting parts of animation is character design. Just by looking at someone you can tell a lot about them. Sure, judging a book by its cover is a big no-no that preschoolers learn, but this is different. You can tell by people's expressions what they feel. You can guess what they are like by their style, do they look more professional, cute, casual, etc. Concept art and promos are supposed to show the basics of the characters. I decided to speculate how Taylor's design and personality changed. At first, he was bright yellow with four arms, and small horns, and was smaller in general. With this anatomy, he was practically made for working with multiple tools. The second design gave him bigger horns and fewer arms. In both, he has this big smile, curious look as if wondering what to fix next. The third one shows his current look but with a tuft of yellow fur as a nod to his predecessors. In the fourth and official one, they decided to drop it or Tylor dyes his fur. Now he is a big purple monster with long horns. As the development progressed, Tylor became less and less suited for the job of an engineer. - He has fewer hands. - He is so tall and big that it will be hard for him to get into small places. - His horns will be getting in the way, even the trailer shows it as they hit some pipe. - He is only shown smiling with his mother, after graduating from MU. For most of the trailer, he is shown to be worried, confused, annoyed, or dare I say scared. In my opinion, somewhere in the development, Tylor Tuskmon was changed from a happy and enthusiastic new worker ( We will make kids laugh now. This is gonna be great! ) to a would-be scarer whose life got just turned upside down ( Are you kidding me ? I went to the MU for this ? )
  • Tyler tuskman looks like a guy you... Kinda knew in high school. And then years later, you run into him at McDonalds and he's like "hey man!" And you're like, "Heeey.... Tim-ty-tyson?" And then he gives you a disappointed look as you grab your mcnuggets and run for the hills.
  • @picolocity366
Tyler's character design truly is the monster design of all time.
  • When I first saw the season I always wondered why val (the yellow girl) was so obsessed with tyler for no reason and basically manipulated/gaslighted him that they were friends for a long time and never listened to him when he was upset, Those were one of the things that made me dislike the character
  • @zmaleki2906
With how expensive and time consuming animation is, you'd think they would spend more that 15 minutes for character design.

I hate that it’s one of those shows that’s bad until the last few episodes and then it ends right as I start liking it
