I've been a tattoo artist for over 30 years. At 9:11 in this video is every tattoo artist's "real bummer moment". As she refills the ink chamber, you can hear her grinding the running machine into the base of the colour cap. If we do that by mistake, we MUST change the needle. It's dead. The needle tips have become hooks. And listen to how loud it is. Watch your tattoo artist the next time they mix colours while the machine runs. They are paying attention, NOT to hit the side or bottom of the cup. If an artist hears this noise, we must change needles. Think before you ink! Ask to see previous "Tattoos, not wanna do designs". If they cannot show you 12 or more good tattoos, leave the shop and do not pay a penny.

Fun fact, at 9:13 you can actually hear her hit the bottom of the ink cap with the needle. This damages the needle and makes your tattoo both more painful and more susceptible to scarring 💕 ESPECIALLY on coloured work where patchy colour us abound to happen with a damaged needl

I love how that one client who asked for the autism mouse was doing it because they probably have someone in their life who they care about who has autism and the artist turns around and starts sh!t talking autistic people for trying to educate her. I wonder how it made that client feel if she watched that video

With how left field that “Are puzzle pieces offensive” question was, it gave me such a “If I was a worm would you still buy a tattoo from me?” Vibe, I swear. I think the client was just baffled as to what it pertained to, like you mentioned, more than anything. Though having ASD myself I would’ve said absolutely then proceed to annoy her by droning about their seedy history, endorsements and message.

Rewatching this I realized the Annabelle tattoo is just Annabella doing the pose from the Dead Silence poster. That movie is a creepy ventriloquist doll movie. That's why Annabella has bad details like the hair, eyebrows, and ventriloquist mouth, she just copy and pasted the hair and outfit onto the ventriloquist character without adjusting the needed details

It's crazy that in 11 years she hasnt improved enough to at least make the tattoos appealing at even just a glance.

Imagine someone posted a swastika tattoo and when people tried to educate them, they asked a client if they were offended by windmills or plus signs.

"I'll do a tattoo based on vibes" was immediately such a red flag that i wouldnt go there.

I was like "hey, I've seen worse", but then I hear she's been doing it for ELEVEN years?

I hate how she said "puzzle piece" instead of "the autism speaks logo", she's clearly not giving her client full context for the thing they're getting permanently inked on their skin.
