The crew during fight scenes: eh it's whatever, it's cool The crew during a 0.7 second clip of Steppenwolf walking on a puddle: M E G A N U T

"What if we deep-faked the mustache?" What a time to be alive
  • actually according to some interview, the reshoot for the snyder cut is just 10 minutes or so. the whole movie is just the original scenes of snyder's without joss whedon reshoot
  • @tjnaples
Superman II: The Richard Donner cut and Zach Snyder’s Justice League, two rare examples of film history being made!

I demand a part 2 of this episode. They haven't reviewed Darkseid CGI yet. Steppy and Uxas grabbing a handful of soil.
  • @FitzVestrit
Petition for a part 2 cause there's a lot more scenes that can be talked about!!
  • 8:48 I'm also amazed at how real it looks, usually when a cgi interacts with water in a hollywood movie, I can tell it's cgi, but here even knowing it's cgi I still question it.

To Freddie's point, even though we had essentially already seen this movie I still felt the tension and excitement build up in each scene. I was thoroughly entertained by the Snyder cut over the original release.
  • I think the biggest reason Barry was so gentle with that woman was because of how incredibly powerful he is moving at that speed where it's almost practically frozen.
  • How is literally no one talking about the two major flash scenes? Where he saves people from the rocks and reverses time. To me they are some of the best vfx I've ever seen. So much going on in there.

12:15 That exact moment you realized you're too absorbed by the film that you've already forgotten to analyze the VFX 🤣
  • I just assumed Barry touching her so lightly was because he didn’t want to shatter her bones.
  • @RavTokomi
I thought a nice CG detail was when Darkseid was underwater, the heat from his eyes caused the water around them to boil.

Freddie's point on how the 4:3 aspect ratio emphasized how larger than life the characters were actually bodes true, but mainly for this film. Because one of the major key differences between Marvel and DC is Marvel is about heroes trying to compete with gods whereas DC is about gods living among men.
  • Snyder's steppenwolf made me actually afraid he might win because of how epic he was.
  • @volrogue
Surprised they didn't talk about the Speed Force scene. That scenes lives rent free in my head
  • @BooneRanger
My favorite part is how they spent more time freaking out over a stick instead of the massive building and cliff collapse
  • Woah I haven't even watched the Snyder cut yet, I had no idea they completely re-did Steppenwolf. He looks so sick in the Snyder cut! His armor is incredible. Weta is so friggin talented
