In 1997, Steve Kroft sat down with comedian Jerry Seinfeld, whose quirky television show about a handful of neurotic New Yorkers quickly became a ratings juggernaut. Kroft also spoke with the show's co-stars. This Sunday marks 25 years since the "Seinfeld" series finale.

The more one watches Seinfeld the better it gets.
  • What I love about Jerry and Larry David is that they give people themselves and don’t try to pretend or hide who they are. Like Larry leaving the show because he was burnt out and wanted to try something else even when the show is wildly successful.
  • Seinfeld is still funny & a relatable show for anyone who lives in cities especially.

"People that read tabloids deserve to be lied to." What a brilliant line and he came up with that on the fly!

God...I was in highschool when Seinfeld was still at its peak. Crazy how quickly life flies by.

"Who leaves a country packed with ponies to come to a non-pony country." Best line ever!
  • I am Nigerian and I have watched seasons of Seinfeld more than I count and it keeps getting better and better. Great Sitcom

That whole back-and-forth on marriage was absolutely priceless.

Seinfeld is like fine wine, gets better and better with time.
  • Even in the late 90s he was telling jokes from the mid 80s that he’d still be telling in the mid 2000s!
  • "It's funny to be delicate with something that's explosive" Genius ⭐️

Met Seinfeld at a Dodger game, early on, when the show was called “The Seinfeld Chronicles”. He was walking through the concourse around the 7th, I called out ,Hey Jerrraaaaayyy, from about 20 feet away. He stopped, turned around, I told him I loved the show, we shook hands, he said thanks, we went our ways. Didn’t wanna bug him for an autograph and that was pre selfie. If it were to happen today, i’d play it the same way.

It’s such a great relaxer at the end of the night. Funny, good pace, relatable humor
  • The writers throughout the series deserve WAY more credit. We never hear anything about them but they created everything
  • When the interviewer ( Name?) says, " But you've been able to disguise it as family entertainment", and Jerry bursts out in laughter, what a feather in your cap! To be able to tell people, " Yeah? Well I made Jerry Seinfeld laugh one time."
