Wedding Music Sampler - 8 Traditional Processionals & Recessionals on solo harp

Published 2024-01-29
Come sit on my lovely velvet couch and enjoy some music! I meet with the couples who are considering hiring me for their special day. During the consultation, I play portions of songs and guide them as they share what they want for different parts of the ceremony, especially for coming down the aisle. These standards are popular for a reason: they work so well for the job! But I also love playing unconventional processionals and recessionals too!

00:00 Bridal Intro (this can be paired with any selection)
00:09 Canon in D by Pachelbel
00:47 Canon in D - fast part (this could be used for the bridesmaids, then switch to the first part for the bride)
01:05 "Here Comes the Bride" Wedding March from Lohengrin by Wagner
01:49 Sheep May Safely Graze by JS Bach
02:29 Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring by JS Bach
03:53 Wedding March from A Midsummer Night's Dream by Mendelssohn
04:58 Trumpet Voluntary by Purcell
06:01 Trumpet Tune by Purcell
06:39 Gloria! by Frank Voltz (modern recessional)

I love both traditional and unconventional processionals at weddings. ♥Which one of these is your favorite? ♥ I'm having trouble picking one myself... maybe Trumpet Voluntary... or Jesu Joy... or Sheep... hahaha!
