This is a very quick and easy baby afghan to make and it does NOT need a border! It creates one as you go! How cool is that?! I used "baby" yarn and a size G hook for this project which has been in my UFO bin for at least 10 years! HAHA! You can also do this pattern with worsted weight yarn. I have made 4 adult sized afghans with this pattern as well as hats, scarves and headbands!

I LOVE that you donate to "Project Linus". It's an amazing organization. I've been crocheting blankets for our local satellite chapter in our small Arizona mountain community for 5 years. In 2023 we donated about 1200 blankets to various groups from fire departments, hospital, shelters, a Navajo reservation and many others.

Very interesting and delightful beginning. Will start this soon. I, too, donate all my baby blankets to charity. Over 100 of my blankets are currently in Ukraine. I love to crochet and would do it all day if I didn't have housework!!! Thanks for the education on a different foundation.

This is the same exact pattern that is my go to! I’ve always detested the starting part so I started working on both sides of the starting chain. Certainly going to give this one a go!!

I love this pattern.. had to watch video a few times to get the hang of it, but then it clicked. Now working on 3rd blanket. Thank you

I love this beautiful stitch, especially the no border makes it nice❤
  • Lovely stitch for a scarf, too. I make scarfs by the boxful...along with hats.....for charity...this is going to be in my pattern list of "scarfs to make" for this next winter. Making it tactile would be interesting in a scarf as well. Thank you for the tutorial.🤗

WOW! What a great pattern. You have made it so easy to follow with your directions. Thank you so much. Used it with ombré yarn and it came out so beautiful. Will certainly use again.
  • This is a super pretty stitch. I have so many projects on the go, but when I see a new stitch, I have to try it as well. I crochet for animal shelters, and some kitty is gonna love this new blanket. Thankyou for sharing.
  • I have only just found you. Your extremely easy to follow , thank you for this beautiful easy blanket pattern, I also donate to charity so always looking for new ideas x

  • I adore this pattern! Thank you so much for posting. I just started an “easy” baby blanket but after 3 rows wasn’t sure I wanted to finish it. Out goes the 3 rows and I’m going to make this pattern!!

Thank you. Yes it is so satisfying helping others, I help other ladies to learn new things with crochet & even one man, and yes it is like giving an offering or tithe when you give what you make to those in need. And I feel truly blessed to be able to do that, hoping it will help someone and hopefully make someone happy. Be well and stay safe, you are doing something wonderful.❤🌹🌹🙏.

At last, a baby blanket that doesn't start with a long string of chains. I find them very fiddly, and almost unmanageable, not to mention hard to get the right number!
