    Only 84 of 262 men from the 1st Minnesota that made this charge survived. I think those were the final numbers. I believe Shelby Foote's Narrative on the Civil War is so phenomenal it should be mandatory reading for all Civil War and Gettysburg buffs. But be ready; you're looking at a 2,500 page read. (Worth every second)
