It’s finally done!
This is a tab-based demonstration of the song “The Destroyer,” by the band Legend, made in Guitar Pro 8! This took about a month to make, due to all those insane drum fills! (Thanks, Ray!) I was inspired to transcribe this song after a friend showed it to me. There were no sources for tabs for Legend’s work, which is a shame. I took it upon myself to fix this! To me, this is equal parts a learning tool and historical preservation effort. It’s my hope that my efforts can help people experience and appreciate this hidden gem.

==On the transcription itself==
Since I treated this like a preservation effort, I transcribed the song AS IT APPEARS ON THE TRACK, not how I think it should be, or how I think the artist wanted it to be. To that end, the transcription certainly has some inaccuracies in it. I don’t play the drums, so I had to take on the task of transcribing them purely by sound. But that was part of the fun. Having to piece the song together, one note at a time, watching it slowly take shape has always given me such joy, especially with these older songs. Notes are out of time, slightly out of tune, it is, in a word, imperfect. There’s not a huge emphasis on perfectly quantized tempo and pitch perfect performances. This is noticeable in the vocal track in particular. Kevin, the vocalist, slides to the note he wants to sing, like most people do. I understand some people may find this annoying, but you’re welcome to edit the transcription as you see fit, I only ask you credit me if you’re going to publish it.
