Iā€™m from Ecuador and it is a 3rd world country and very dangerous so I understand that they wouldnā€™t film in here. But we have very few beautiful histories, and Arthur is Ecuadorian and his story happenned here and they didnā€™t even mention that in the movie. This wasnā€™t a story about the race it was about Arthur and the bond they formedā¤. The rest is filler.

If you ever rescue a dog you would know they get very attach with his rescuer and have separation ansiety most of their new life. And I donā€™t think the author was racist but dogs do recognize body shapes and smell and they sometimes gets confused with people with similar complexions because theyā€™re familiar.

Your review is all over the place. Probably all over more places than Arthur has been.

woah your section about the arthur foundation was super interesting and very down-to-earth. I got second-hand embarrassment from reading that "because I'm tall and fair like you" line...
  • If you like nonfiction, I'd recommend comparing the the book 'The Disaster Artist', by Greg Sestero, to the movie with James Franco. I didn't read or watch this one, because as much as I love dogs, I'm not all that crazy about dog stories. Sounds like I didn't miss much....haha

Look forward to streaming this film knowing the dog lives. Tom Hanks once jokingly said the biggest mistake in his career was having the dog die at the end of 1989's "Turner and Hooch". Have a movie recommendation I know you'll like and insist you watch....2023 documentary "Just.One.Mile". Runners race a continuous one mile loop over a mountain in Tennessee until only one is left 30 hours later. AMAZING film about what the human body and mind can do. It's 4 bucks online. So worth it.
  • Nice review as usual. I can't stand Mark Walberg but I enjoyed your review, hahaha.

The Arthur foundation segment confused me bc Iā€™m not really sure why youā€™re conflicted about a man telling a country that they shouldnā€™t allow the abuse of animals. I get heā€™s from another country but is that not a cause everyone can get behind? Arguing against the abuse of animals is not controversial and we shouldnā€™t pretend it is. I agree that the ā€œtall and fairā€ line is weird though
