Horrible interviewing! Stop constantly interrupting the guy by asking questions he was already likely to answer in the next sentence
  • Sounds like these rich tv presenters were VERY concerned about THEIR taxes rising and not too bothered about whether proper working people’s taxes would be staying the same.
  • @domuk88
Sack these two news reporters absolutely disgusting way to interview
  • Terrible way of interviewing people. More than an interview it feels like incompetent people trying to challenge someone very competent that didn’t even have the time to take a look at the books he inherited from the previous rulers
  • @bradmca2022
Gave up after 2 mins..you got to stop interrupting people who actually answer questions
  • @markwalker4142
Suzanna is clearly upset about the 20 % vat in her kids private school fees . 😂😂😂
  • @emanuel1940
This was more of an interrogation than an interview. Total lack of respect. He actually answers the questions too despite the interruptions.
  • Where was this aggression when tory ministers were allowed to come on and lie?
  • @connorlewis5989
Really odd agressive interview. Interrupting to try to put him off, didn't work.
  • @ShakesSphere
HORRIBLE INTERVIEWING, ...Why do you keep demanding concrete immediate answers, when Darren OBVIOUSLY can't give such particulars after only 72 hours, not to mention that he's not the only person forming the new plans??!!!
  • I've never seen GMB interview a Tory MP this harshly. Why so standoffish?
  • It would have been nice to see journalists treat tory mps like this. It goes to show which way these two voted.
  • I never heard you be so aggressive with the Tories. Never. Are you another outlet that I need to block?
  • @SamOliverYT
I think Darren is a future PM, so quick, sharp, looks competent.
  • @robe1937
Give the lad a chance to speak.
  • @simonlawler7345
Let him answer the questions. You keep interupting before he gets a chance to answer for heavens sake!
  • its his first day in office ffs! Its going to take time. I don't remember anyone quizzing the Tories like this??? I am happy to give them time, content in the knowledge that we now have competent people in post with a desire to make positive changes.

I think interviewing styles like this is what helped lead to the dumbing down of the electorate. Susannah keeps asking the same question re: growth expecting a specific, simple answer. When told that it's a bit more complex than providing a specific figure, she then continues to ask the same question again, as though she has "caught him out". This makes it appear that he is avoiding answering her question when he had already answered it (and gave the reason why he was unable to provide a specific figure).

If you get economic growth then the amount of tax that you receive will increase, that is not the same thing as increasing people's tax burdens!
