This was more of an interrogation than an interview. Total lack of respect. He actually answers the questions too despite the interruptions.

its his first day in office ffs! Its going to take time. I don't remember anyone quizzing the Tories like this??? I am happy to give them time, content in the knowledge that we now have competent people in post with a desire to make positive changes.

I think interviewing styles like this is what helped lead to the dumbing down of the electorate. Susannah keeps asking the same question re: growth expecting a specific, simple answer. When told that it's a bit more complex than providing a specific figure, she then continues to ask the same question again, as though she has "caught him out". This makes it appear that he is avoiding answering her question when he had already answered it (and gave the reason why he was unable to provide a specific figure).

If you get economic growth then the amount of tax that you receive will increase, that is not the same thing as increasing people's tax burdens!
