I review horror film "The Skull". It was directed by Freddie Francis and stars Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee.

I love the camera work when your seeing out from the skulls eyes,it definitely has a creepy atmosphere too, a good start from Amicus

Robert Bloch also wrote the short story which the film called 'Psycho' was adapted from. A horror classic and must see for you and your 'horror themed' channel.
  • Not seen this one I might have to pick it up sometime πŸ’ΏπŸ‘ˆπŸ»πŸŽ₯
  • There are a few films where Cushing and Lee work together on the same side (although, even then, there's usually some antagonism between them): The Hound of the Baskervilles, Night of the Big Heat, Nothing but the Night, and Horror Express. They actually play half-brothers in The Creeping Flesh, though they are definitely not friends.

SPOILER ALERT: I'm intrigued by your interpretation of the pre-credit sequence, ie. the skull made the bloke commit suicide (how? By slashing his own throat? Perhaps) I always assumed the skull itself killed him by gnashing on his throat as it does to Cushing's character at the end. Anyway great review as ever, this is a highly effective and genuinely eerie film. I watched it aged 10 when the BBC showed their summer horror double bill season, it spooked me.
  • Good. I'm happy to say I can copy your scoring system using real axes. (There was a time in my life I just couldn't own enough axes.)
