I’m just imagining little youngster Joey sending out a rattata and then staring into the eyes of God as this stranger sends out corrupted reality.
  • Imagine seeing someone going into the pokemon league with a QR code that throws bubbles, yeets triangles, and corrupts your code.

I love how MISSINGNO requires a lot of EXP to level up at the start. But when they get high up, they require less.

I love the idea that missingno is an reality-destroying monster but also dies if you so much as breathe on it too hard.

Missingno: gets confused Missingno: "Guess I'll die"

For reasons, instead of flying, I think missingno. glitches itself into the shape of a door, in which its trainer walks through to their desired location.

things were never the same with red after he found that…thing. he distanced himself from everyone else, only wanting to be with it. he barely even used his other pokémon, going so far as to quit a battle when it fainted. the creature bent reality to its will, sending whatever it touched into a distorted state not unlike its own. no one dared question red and his creature as he went though kanto, leaving corruption in his path. as he stood attempting to fight me for the role of champion,i tried to reason with him. “you’ve destroyed the entire region! cant you see you’ve only brought suffering to everyone you’ve challenged?” he just stared at me with that creature on his shoulder.even though it had no face,i could tell it was glaring at me too. “red..we don’t have to do this..we can find some way to fix this..we don’t have to fight.” but i could already tell there was no way to reason with him. he was already too far gone. so i swallowed my fear, readied my pokémon, and prepared myself for the fate i was about to meet.

I love how if you hit anything with missingno they just completely shred to pieces

“I ran into YouTube, it feels like I’m constantly fighting this guy” Sounds like a metaphor for literally every content creator on the site.

My first ever play through of yellow when I was 8 years old, I didn't know about the HM flash to light the tunnel and just thought I was supposed to go through it in complete darkness 😂 - no maps or anything just slowly bouncing off the rocks in the darkness until I miraculously made it out, lmao the amount of patience I had for stuff like that back then was astounding

20:25 Fun fact: Swift will still never miss in the English gen 1 games, as it bypasses the accuracy check and cannot be impacted by the 1/256 miss glitch, thereby rendering it the only true 100% accurate move in gen 1. It is, however, susceptible to the 1/256 miss glitch in all the Japanese versions of the gen 1 games, including Yellow, apparently, which seems pretty odd. But that's what Bulbapedia says, and that wiki is usually very reliable.
  • Whenever the missingno hits an opponent it cripples their sprite and I can't get over it

I'd love to see Missingno become a canonical species in Pokemon. It would be great if it was explained by being a weird mystical pokemon who's true form can't be seen by the naked eye so all you see is a glitch. I would have an actual heart attack if it made a cameo in the anime.

MissingNo: I'm strong! Caterpie: Hoh? You're approaching me?
  • I have a theory: Missingno doesn't cut the trees, It just glitches them out of existence.
  • In Kanto, Red was just casually strolling through routes, looking for atleast a few shinies. But even after hours.. he had found none. He was thinking about giving up, but he didn't, he was determined to find one. But the next minutes, Red paused his shiny expedition. He heard something.. off. He couldn't hear the sound of him walking through bushes anymore, no rustling, no wind, nothing. But he can still hear his own voice. Other than that, he heard what seemed to be unrhythmic clicking. Curiously, Red took caution in approaching, and silently walked toward the mysterious sound. As he walked, be realized that there weren't any pokemon jumping out to attack. The clicking got louder and more unrhythmic, and there was a soft hum, a buzzing like sound. After walking toward the sound for what seemed like forever, he had found it. But.. it wasn't a pokemon he had seen before. It was a tall, large, wyvern like entity, it resembled an Aerodactyl. But it wasn't shiny... or regular. It had no skin, no flesh, no vein, no muscle.. just complete bone. At the tips of its claws and tail were corrupted patterns, jigsaws of bits of itself. Around it, the ground and brush were also corrupted, in places and conditions impossible for it to even survive. Flickers of bits of pokémon can also be seen around it. The tail of a Squirtle, the ear of an Arcanine, the eye of a Wigglytuff, and alot more pokémon that were scattered around it. Red was surprised at first, and thought about leaving it, but then he thought to himself.. he had found a pokémon no one.. NO ONE has seen before, not even Oak. So if he caught it, he might get famous, maybe even given a medal. He might even get more famous! Red got low to the ground, as in an effort of a surprise attack in order to not get seen, but the moment he left cover, it was already too late, and the pokèmon had already found him. The skeleton snapped its head back with an audible crack, staring at Red with soulless, empty eye sockets, startling Red a little. Both paused, and stared at each other, Red staying low, and the skeleton staying still. That was then the skeleton's eye sockets began to lit up with white, black, purple, and brown, mesmerizing, hypnotizing patterns. Red staring into the skeleton's eyes made him feel.. something. He felt like he wasn't in control of his own body, and he felt lightheaded. He was scared. He wanted to run, he wanted to scream, but he couldn't do neither. As the skeleton turned around and walked towards Red, Red felt something else different. He felt calm, he felt.. belonging. He began to forget his past, as if both him and the skeleton were always a duo. The skeleton neared its large head towards Red's face, and Red began to relax himself, and smile. He feels his body crumbling, but that didn't matter to him. The more he stared into the skeleton's eyes, the more he felt like he was staring into the eyes of Arceus. No, like some sort of higher deity, an even more higher deity than Arceus himself. Red begins to mumble under his breath: "Oh my goodness... you're.. so gorgeous... I couldn't imagine something... more.. perfect then you.... you're what I need... you're perfect.." The skeleton lets out a loud, long, awful hiss, consisted of different pokemon, as if in approval, proud to find its new trainer, its new owner. Red feels pride. He felt power, he felt an emotion he simply can't describe. that he finally found something... perfect. Even if he felt himself falling apart, even if he saw the world around him crumbling to pieces, even if he felt sick and numb, it didn't matter to him, it never did. What mattered is that he found something amazing, something.. perfect. He'll defeat everyone with his newfound partner. After all, what pokémon can defeat something perfect and powerful like it?
  • My lord, this reminds me of my brother. He took one of the glitched pokemon (it was either M or Missingno) through the E4 solo on his original Red version. He struggled against the ice one, but he eventually did it. Whenever he'd go to the screen to see his E4 teams, it would sing to him for like 5 minutes and then the pokemon center music would pick back up again.
