Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it's no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions - Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness. The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley's mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley's main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.

This movie could be a brilliant TV series where it focuses on different people. Like an episode with a kid with an anger problem and inside the anger character is trying to overthrow the others for complete control, or an episode where a woman suffers from severe depression and inside the joy character is debilitated by a potentially fatal illness but overcomes it somehow. Its a juicy goldmine of creative possibilities

i love this movie so much. this movie shows that it's alright to not always be happy. when you're upset or sad, it's okay to let it show. in the end, all the core islands had hints of other emotions as well and not all just joy. you don't have to force happiness upon yourself or smile at every problem, it's alright to reach out to your close ones and communicate when you're feeling lost and confused. because if you keep bottling up everything inside you and dismiss everything with a smile, you eventually lose control. loved this movie, idc if anyone calls me childish for it

I really like how the parents’ emotions have a full console with all of them acting cohesively, showing that they’re more mature than Riley is at the time. And then Riley gets her own full console showing she’s grown up a bit :)

I would like to see an Inside out 2 in which a new feeling is presented, or Riley gets a sibling or a new feeling-team has to compete against the current team ( Sadness ect) after a bad performance or sth. Basically I just want more Anger scenes 😂😂
