Adwhyta proudly presents 'Bodh Gaya - The Seat of Enlightenment', a documentary short film which explores one of the holiest Buddhist places in the world.

In Dhammapada, the Buddha says -
“All tremble at violence; all fear the ultimate sleep. Putting oneself in the place of another, one should not harm nor cause another to harm.”
The film revolves around the kind of transformation Buddhism can bring in people’s lives and the role it can play in today’s chaotic world. In our journey through the film, we also explore the story of the Buddha, the historical relevance of the pilgrimage and personal experiences of Buddhist monks and practitioners.

I was supposed to stay in Bodhagaya one night but end up staying 7days. There's something at that place makes you feels so at peace, calm and joyous. There is definitely a magical energy there. Will go back again this lifetime.

When someone ask what is Buddhism? I think if you go deeper...the actual answer is "speechless". Even the word speechless is merely a figure of speech. There is really nothing simply knowing but not knowing.
  • I grew up Catholic. In my late teens, I attended a Unitarian church regularly. Then I learned a little about Buddhism from a an audio cassette by Lama Surya Das. I attended some sangha meetings at a tiny sangha which met in a former office building. I returned to the Catholic church very briefly around the time my children were born and baptized. Then I started taking my children to the Unitarian church. A few years after this, I started attending a Congregational church (United Church of Christ). Lately, I've been interested in Hinduism. I guess you could say I am a real seeker.

I have been there once and it was very especial and mesmerizing.Tathagata Lord Buddha quoted in sutra about vsiting four Buddhist sites.Lumbini(The place where he was born),Bodhagaya(where he was enllightened),Sarnath(where he gave his first teachings) and Kushinagar(where he received Mahaparinirvana).

I was drawn towards Buddhism through a Buddha Statue my father has given to my mother as a wedding anniversary gift.. it was sitting there on top of a large piece of furniture "looking down" on all the events unfolding..since I started to look into Buddhism, lucky enough there was a "Buddhist house" in my home town, a little temple attached to it and a library, founded by Dr. Paul Dahlke in 1958 in Berlin/Germany, I often went there and enjoyed the calmness and secludedness of that place, finally I made it to India several times, it was a game changer, 55 years later I still hold that statue in high esteem and as a reminder of the wonderful teachings of this wonderful being !
